Last minute CE your clients will love

We’ve all been there before: The year’s almost over, and you need to get that CE in. I can’t say I’ve never picked the easy route and gone with a course that’s just quick to get through, but it’s been a long time. I’m sure, like me, one of the challenges you run into is the lack of high-quality CE that translates into actions you can take for real clients.

Here’s the thing – your clients don’t actually care whether you take CE; they care what you help them accomplish. That’s why I endlessly harp on getting and reviewing tax returns and making sure you have processes for delivering massive value on tax planning. Only the action counts.

As you finish off your CE for the year, go into each one with your client list pulled up. Make notes as you go through of not just actions you can take but specific clients the actions apply to. This is a trick I learned from top advisors, and it can be a game changer. You can even back up a step from there and have your client list out as you decide which topics you want to take courses on. Yes, you need to stay in compliance, but you’re not getting your money’s worth if all that CE doesn’t produce actions you can put into practice.

And if this is one of those years where you have a few hours to finish out, we’ve got some options for you:

  • 37 Point Masterclass on Reviewing Tax Returns – Over 3 hours of CE and a line-by-line walkthrough of the 1040 with a focus on tax planning.
  • Backdoor Roth Masterclass – The ins and outs, do’s and don’ts of getting backdoor Roth conversions done. 2 hours of CE that includes that logic along with real-world insight from guest contributors Micah Shilanski, CFP and Matthew Jarvis, CFP.

As always, these courses are available on demand and as an included benefit of RTS Membership, so if you’re already a member and haven’t completed the courses, jump into the member’s section and get started.
